An Encouraging Word

My Prayer for You - Scott Bowers, the Lord's Gym/FOCAS

Posted on

As we close out 2018 and look forward to what God will do in 2019, I want you to know that all of us at FOCAS/The Lord’s Gym Ministries are thankful and grateful for your partnership in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Out of sincere gratitude I offer to you the following encouraging words and prayer found in Ephesians 3:14 – 4:6 from the English Standard Version Bible. I copied this from Bible Gateway.

Prayer for Spiritual Strength

14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family[c] in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.

Ephesians 4 English Standard Version (ESV)

Unity in the Body of Christ

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Amen.

Blessings and Happy New Year. - Scott
