It is clear that the down turn in our economy is affecting everyone.  Many of those within our ministry, who are already on the edge of poverty are now struggling to make ends meet.  In fact we have identified families who due to job loss or the elimination of jobs, are running out of food and resources before the end of each month.  We want to offer these people a hand up through a new effort we are calling FOCAS Food Aid Coop.  For just five dollars per year and two hours of volunteer work per month, we hope to provide groceries to see them through the critical “end of the month” time period.

 We are  to inviting  you to partner with us in collecting non-perishable food items to be distributed to the co-op membership. We hope you will consider this plea.  Jesus urged us to care for the poor among us
